Imagine for a moment: sunset on a rock out-cropping by a clean, crisp lake.  You go for a swim and emerge a little bit chilled, as the sun has melted below the horizon.  What’s a cottager to do?  Well, head on over to the lakeside sauna, of course!!!  Is your jaw dropping as mine did when I saw this beautiful old structure at the very edge of the water, and discovered it’s purpose?

This property is the stuff cottage dreams are made of: past, present and future.  It is a rare gem in these parts because it has been preserved in it’s original form: a small cabin, piled high with bunks, with no running water or electricity.  A cottage time capsule.  That may make some a little wary.  But there is something romantic, soothing, and magical about a place that has not changed in over half a century.  Just like the lanterns on a fireplace mantel that are lit every evening.
