What Lifestyle Photography Means To Me | Toronto Lifestyle Photography

I’ve read more than a few varying descriptions of “lifestyle photography”, so I imagine there may be some confusion about what this might mean.  Here’s what it means to me, in both words and images.  In the simplest terms, lifestyle photography goes beyond traditional portraiture by documenting your family as you are, with a story-telling approach that inspires authentic, emotive images, each depicting a moment in time.  Often, the best way to do this is by ensuring you are having fun doing something you love to do as a family!  It is about ensuring we take the time to admire special rocks on the beach.  It’s about jumping if we want to jump and dancing if we want to dance.  It’s about stopping everything to collect a snail shell and then making sure it tucked away safely, because it is a treasure.  It’s about your family doing exactly what you are meant to be doing, and about me capturing what it means to be your family.  But not to worry: I always make sure we also take several traditional ‘look-at-the-camera’ images for grandma!
