The original intent for booking this session was to include High Park’s famed cherry blossoms as a backdrop. Our Spring had other plans. The relentless weather rollercoaster of cold temps with brief blasts of seasonal warmth caused those blossom buds to remain tightly shut and forgo their appearance this year. Who can blame them? To be honest, it really didn’t matter at all as the park was just as beautiful in all it’s spring glory. The magnolias, weeping willow trees, pond grasses and budding leaves came out to play. And I have to say, the real star of the show was this gorgeous family. I was thrilled to learn that mom and dad are engaged to be married this summer. I loved snapping away at just the two of them and capturing the emotion between them. So much so, I think I may have to find me some more engagement sessions!
